Building on our previous research on the application of 6-Benzylaminopurine (6-BA) in promoting seed germination and yield enhancement, today we will explore its role in regulating flower-fruit development and improving fruit setting efficiency.

-
Watermelon & Melon -
Method: Apply 100 mg/L 6-BA to the fruit pedicel on the day of flowering.
-
Effect: Promotes fruit setting.

-
-
Pumpkin & Zucchini -
Method: Apply 100 mg/L 6-BA to the fruit pedicel 1 day before to the day of flowering.
-
Effect: Enhances fruit retention.

-
-
Cucumber -
Method: Spray 60 mg/L 6-BA on fully open female flowers and young fruits.
-
Effect: Improves fruit setting, accelerates young fruit growth, increases marketable fruit count, and boosts yield.

-
-
Tomato -
Method: Dip or spray inflorescences with 100 mg/L 6-BA + 20–30 mg/L gibberellic acid (GA3) during flowering.
-
Effect: Promotes fruit setting and prevents hollow fruit.

-
-
Jujube (Chinese Date) -
Method: Spray fruits with 20–28.5 mg/L 6-BA from 70–80% flowering to rapid fruit expansion stage (until fruit surface is evenly wet).
-
Protocol: -
Avoid use after fruit hardening.
-
Repeat every 10–15 days for 2–3 applications.

-
-
Effect: Stimulates flower bud differentiation, accelerates growth, strengthens plants, enlarges fruits, and increases yield.

-
-
Grape -
Flowering Stage: Dip inflorescences in 100 mg/L 6-BA. -
Effect: Promotes fruit setting and induces seedless berry formation.

-
-
Post-Flowering: Apply 50–100 mg/L 6-BA + 20–30 mg/L GA3. -
Effect: Enhances berry expansion, improves yield, and quality.

-

-
-
Citrus -
Timing: -
Post-flowering (before 1st physiological fruit drop).
-
Young fruit stage (before 2nd physiological fruit drop).
-
Pre-fruit expansion stage.

-
-
Method: Spray 33.3–50 mg/L 6-BA on flowers and fruits (3 applications).
-
Effect: Increases fruit retention and yield.
